NZ Aerospace Directory
Privacy policy
NZ Aerospace Directory is an independent project created and maintained by Ben Frost. This policy describes personal information associated with browsing the directory, contacting Ben and appearing in public source material.
Browsing the directory
You can browse the directory without creating an account. The directory does not have an account system, take payments or accept job applications. Job links take you to the employer or the job service it uses.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested pages and request times to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its data-handling practices.
Preferences stored in your browser
The directory uses your browser's local storage to remember your chosen theme and background motion preference. These settings stay in that browser; the directory's preference controls do not send them to a server. You can remove them by clearing this site's stored data in your browser settings.
The deployed site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure site usage and performance. See Cloudflare Web Analytics for information about that service.
Contacting Ben
The contact form uses Formspark. Submitting it sends your email address, optional name, enquiry topic and message to Formspark for processing and delivery. Share only the information needed for your enquiry, correction or suggestion.
The contact form also uses Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. The check sends browser and connection information to Cloudflare. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum and privacy policy for its practices.
You can also email contact@nzaerospacecompanies.nz directly.
The intended use of directory enquiries is to respond, investigate corrections and maintain the directory. Formspark stores submissions and can send email notifications. See the Formspark privacy policy for its practices. Messages and correction-related records may be retained to handle your enquiry and maintain the directory. Service providers may process information outside New Zealand. Contact Ben to ask about information held about you or to request its removal.
Information in listings
Profiles and updates are based on public organisation sources and link back to them. Public source material can sometimes identify people. If information about you is inaccurate or raises a privacy concern, contact Ben with the page address and details of your concern.
External websites
Organisation websites, source articles and job services have their own privacy practices. Check their policies when you visit them or submit information.
Access, corrections and concerns
You can request access to personal information held about you and ask for it to be corrected. To make a request or raise a privacy concern, contact Ben and say that your message concerns NZ Aerospace Directory.
For information about your rights or making a complaint, visit the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
This page will be updated when the directory's privacy practices change. The date above will identify the latest revision.
